I'm pretty sure I passed this dog a week earlier, jogging with his master. What was remarkable was that he was towing about 6' of heavy chain and a 3' long 4x4 beam. I saw him again helping the family bring the groceries home. Can I get my cats to do this?

Not on topic, but having come here from Kate's blog, I have to ask: why "du" neige? If this rebellion against French grammar has a point, it escapes me. What am I missing?

It's not a rebellion, it's a mistake. One I made unknowingly for years until another commenter pointed it out. Check the little blurb on the right hand side.
I still struggle with gender in french and it gets worse as I get older.
